Welcome to The Daily Oracle. Here you will find my creative outlet in the written word. From short story's, essays and poems to excerpts from larger projects that I am dreaming up, it will all land here. My writing journey is new, but has been bubbling for quite a long time. I expect everything that hasn't been unleashed into the world will be flowing out with ease, and maybe too much exuberance, over the next few weeks and months.
My inspiration for this came from an oracle deck I gifted myself this past summer. The draw to explore the oracle has been within me for a while, but I was waiting until I came across one deck that pulled me in, and I felt that impulsive spark to just do it. My deck of inspiration is The Green Witch's Oracle Deck, beautifuly created by Arin Murphy-Hiscock, the author of The Green Witch. My intent with this site is to pull a card daily, (or as often as I can with a full time job and three kids in hockey, basketball, dance, all with an incredibly long list of needs). This daily card will serve as the theme or inspiration for my writing that day. Some may be short, some may be long, some maybe won't make any sense at all. Mixed in with those stories may come additional works that I am working on, and I am excited to see how this page transforms in the future.
Follow along, or pass through. My writing is for me, this collection is for me. A place to post and share my work, a data bank of drafts, and a form of accountability. But maybe, one day, my writing will be for you too.
